The fifth
case in just one year. That one girl from Lauri's parallel class was carrying
her belongings out of school while her father was waiting for her in the car. Her face looked pale, her eyes were hollow like those of a zombie. She almost lost her nerves and in the end she decided to change school. There
was a crazy stalker after her but no one had an idea who that guy could be.
"Quite
a shame."
"Someone
needs to do something about it."
Yes, someone
needed to do something about that but not Lauri. The young student with Finnish
origins had to care about his football career if he wanted to get a scholarship
for college. He did feel sorry for that girl though. Having a stalker was a serious business and the weirdest was the girl claimed to never have seen his
face. She just received strange letters and had the feeling to be followed. Her
stalker never approached her but he was driving her to insanity with his
ominous presence. Hopefully that guy didn't return to terrorize another girl...
Whenever
the school had a sports match, the whole studentship was watching and cheering
for their team. That day, the football team was playing and as always, Lauri saw a
certain upper classmate standing in the front row cheering for them. Sheryl
Débuchy. Everyone had heard about the Débuchy challenge and it seemed to be
impossible to ask her out. Sheryl was a smart girl, not as beautiful as other
female students but she had something that made her special. You could say she
got a unique aura that made her attractive. Or maybe it was the fact that she had
turned everyone down; flower boys, privileged ones with a big wallet, sportsmen
or just normal students, she said no to absolutely everyone. People even
claimed that she wasn't interested in guys at all!
"Lamminen!
Shoot!"
Soren
passed the ball to Lauri and he kicked it straight into the corner. The keeper
had to be God to get it, so the game was decided by the Finn's deadly strike.
"Good
job, Larsen, you too, Lamminen."
Soren
Larsen was the playmaker of the team. He doesn't score himself but prepares the important shoots to help either
Lauri or Kaspar Paulsen, another striker beside the Finn to make a goal In the end everyone cheered for
Soren first, because everyone knew that he was the tactical genius behind their
winning strikes. Lauri didn't like the lacking attention too much, but it was
better to win than to lose, right? And they'd won every matchup since Soren
joined the team.
"Lamminen,
wanna go celebrating with us?" Kaspar asked while the crowd was cheering for
Soren and carrying him out of the hall.
"I'll
join later. Need to get some water first or else I'll die."
Actually
Lauri just wanted to get away from the crowd. It really annoyed him that Soren
got all the attention; the principal, the whole studentship, everyone loved the
young Danish player and the rest of the team, except for him, seemed to be okay
with it. Lauri was walking down the corridor, tired and a bit upset about the
hype around Soren. Why wouldn't anyone see the achievements of the others? He
was a great striker and the others were playing well too.
"It's
all about Larsen..." Lauri mumbled and punched against the next locket. A
popular guy would get everything; scholarship for different colleges, fame,
sponsorship, girls... Hmm, Sheryl Débuchy might also be a fangirl of Soren
Larsen. Yes, you could say that Lauri was interested in his upper classmate like
the other guys, but who cared anyways? She was unreachable for everyone and
lived in her own world.
"Well
played, Lamminen."
Lauri turned around to where the voice came
from and was totally lost for words just by looking at the one who spoke to him.
Sheryl Débuchy.
